Know the plan before you arrive.
What To ExpectAt Your First Visit.
Here’s what to bring, what happens in the chair and how fees work. Ask us anything beforehand, including about sleep, food, materials or old fillings.

What To Bring With You.
A few details help us plan the visit around you. Share anything that matters, from your medicines to the materials you’d rather avoid.
Ask us for your patient formsMedicines and health conditions
Write down what you take, supplements included, plus any conditions, allergies or past reactions to metals or dental materials.
Sleep and breathing reports
A sleep study, a sleep apnoea diagnosis, allergy results or a letter from your doctor all help us see the full picture.
Past dental records and X-rays
Tell us what treatment you’ve had before. Ask our team whether we should request your records ahead of the visit.
Your questions, card and forms
List your questions, take your health fund card if you plan to claim, and request the new patient forms from us.
How The Visit Unfolds.
Four steps, in order. You can ask questions at any of them.
Book and tell us why
Call or request a time online. Say what brings you in, mention any worries, and ask about timing and fees.
Talk before anything else
Your dentist asks about your health, medicines, sleep, eating habits and dental history, and what you’d like from the visit.
A careful look
Teeth, gums, bite and soft tissues all get a close look. We suggest X-rays only when one would help answer a question.
Findings, options, next steps
You hear what we found and what your choices are, including waiting. We go over costs and materials before you decide.

Nervous? Say So Early.
Many people feel uneasy before a dental visit. Tell us when you book, and we’ll talk about what worries you and what could help.
- Blankets and neck pillows
- Personalised music selection
- Safety glasses during care
Your dentist can talk through clinical options for managing anxiety, if you’d like that. Whether any suits you comes down to an individual assessment.
Talk to our teamMaking Sense Of Your Options.
The examination starts a conversation. Your dentist explains what they found, how it may relate to your general health and what you can do about it, so you can decide at your own pace.
Questions worth asking
- What did you find, and what does it mean for me?
- What are my options, including waiting?
- Which materials would you use, and why?
- What are the benefits, risks and costs?
- What follow-up will I need?
Ask again whenever something isn’t clear. We discuss any extra treatment and its cost before it goes ahead.
After The First Visit, Staying On Track.
Each check-up is a chance to tell us what’s changed in your health, medicines or worries. We look over your teeth and gums, then adjust your prevention plan, food and home-care advice included.
How often you return depends on your own needs. Ask your dentist when to come back and what to focus on until then.

Frequently Asked Questions
Bring your list of medicines, any allergies, your health fund card if you plan to claim, and any dental records or X-rays you have. If you have a sleep study, a sleep apnoea diagnosis or allergy test results, bring those too.
Each item helps for a reason. Medicines, health conditions and allergies affect which materials and treatments suit you. A sleep or allergy report helps us see the full picture, including any past reaction to a metal or dental material. Earlier X-rays can save you an extra image. When you write your list, include supplements. If you’re not sure whether to ask for your old records, ask our team whether we should request them before your visit.
Bring your questions as well. A short list of what worries you, such as old fillings, snoring, cost or nerves, helps you get what you came for. You can ask what any step involves, ask us to stop, and take time before you agree to anything. If you’re missing something on this list, come anyway and tell us.
