Choose the offer that fits, see exactly what it includes, and book your first visit at our West Perth practice. We begin with questions about you: your health, your sleep, your worries.
We’ve looked after patients from across Perth since 1988. Your visit starts with questions about you, and you hear your options in plain words before anything is decided.
Due for a check-up? Wondering about an old silver filling, snoring or a material you’d rather avoid? Say so when you book. If you’re nervous, tell us that too.
You’ll find us on Outram Street, near public transport, with on-street parking nearby.
There are five, and each includes something different. Name the one you want when you book, and our team confirms which appointment applies.
$295 New Patient Promo
A comprehensive dental examination, full-mouth X-rays and professional cleaning.
Mention the $295 New Patient Promo when booking. Ask our team to confirm current availability, the imaging included, any additional charges and how this promotion differs from the separate $199-maximum New Patient Offer.
A comprehensive examination, routine scale, clean and polish, fluoride treatment, oral cancer screening and a personalised treatment plan. Clinically required intraoral X-rays and photographs are included where appropriate.
Advanced imaging (including OPG and CBCT), additional treatment and periodontal care beyond a routine clean are excluded. Additional costs are discussed before proceeding.
For new patients. Health fund eligibility and benefits vary. Cannot be combined with other offers unless stated.
Full New Patient Offer Terms
Available to new patients of Absolute Dental.
Health fund claims use the applicable item codes and practice fees for the services actually delivered.
You pay $0 gap if eligible benefits cover the fees for all included services. Otherwise, your contribution for those services is capped at $199. Without eligible dental cover, the maximum fee for included services is also $199.
Benefits depend on your insurer, policy, cover, annual limits and benefits remaining. Check your eligibility with your insurer; rebates are not guaranteed.
Included care comprises a comprehensive examination, routine scale, clean and polish, fluoride treatment, oral cancer screening and a personalised treatment plan.
Examinations, intraoral X-rays and photographs are provided as clinically appropriate, at the dentist’s discretion. Included intraoral X-rays may be bitewing or periapical views.
OPG, CBCT and other advanced imaging are excluded unless specifically stated. Periodontal care beyond a routine scale and clean is excluded.
Other dental treatment is charged separately. Recommendations and additional costs will be explained before treatment proceeds.
This offer cannot be combined with other promotions unless expressly stated.
Dental Second Opinion Offer
$49 consultation, or $0 gap when an eligible health fund benefit is claimed and accepted as full payment.
A second look at treatment you’ve been advised to have. Bring your plan, quote and any X-rays or records.
Your dentist may agree with the first opinion. A different diagnosis or a lower price isn’t promised, and you’re under no obligation to go ahead.
Consultation only. Imaging, tests and treatment cost extra. Eligibility and fund rules apply.
Full Second Opinion Offer Terms
This offer covers a dental second-opinion consultation only.
The consultation costs $49 if you have no eligible health fund benefit. A $0 gap consultation is available only when an eligible benefit is claimed and accepted as full payment under your fund’s rules.
Your insurer determines benefits, waiting periods, limits, exclusions and eligibility. Check your cover before booking.
Bring your existing treatment plan, quotation and any available X-rays, scans and relevant dental records.
Imaging, photographs, diagnostic tests, specialist consultations and treatment are not included. Additional fees are discussed before proceeding.
The dentist bases their advice on the findings and information available at the consultation. They may agree with your existing recommendation; a different diagnosis, treatment plan or lower cost is not guaranteed.
You do not have to proceed with treatment at Absolute Dental after the consultation.
Free Invisalign® Consultation
Talk about straightening your teeth, how clear aligners work and whether more assessment makes sense. Suitability, treatment time and costs depend on your own needs.
For new patients. Consultation only; treatment is not included. Confirm assessment, imaging and diagnostic-test inclusions before booking.
Bring your goals and your questions about veneers or implants. Your dentist covers the alternatives, the risks and the care that follows. Implants are surgery, and they don’t suit everyone.
For new patients. Consultation only; treatment is not included. Confirm assessment, imaging and diagnostic-test inclusions before booking.
Our general dentists take time to listen, look at the whole picture and explain your options clearly, so every decision about your care is an informed one.
Dr. Michael Wu holds a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Western Australia. He attends continuing professional education and speaks English and Mandarin. He welcomes questions from patients who feel nervous about dental visits.
After earning her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Bristol, Dr. Harriet Thomas began her career in Cardiff, Wales, before relocating to Perth in 2023. She brings with her experience across both general and hospital settings.
Dr. Ella Chen completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Western Australia (UWA). Her work includes preventive, restorative and emergency dental care. She speaks English and Mandarin and takes time to explain treatment options.
Dr. Lisa Liu completed her dental training at the University of Sydney. With a gentle and caring approach, she is dedicated to helping patients feel informed and receive tailored treatment plans that reflect their personal needs and values.
Three simple steps. No complicated forms, no guessing what is included and no treatment decisions made for you.
Call
Tell us you would like the new patient offer, and mention anything on your mind, from old fillings to snoring. We will find a time that suits you.
Come In
We start by listening. Your dentist checks your teeth, gums and bite, completes your clean where suitable and takes X-rays only if clinically needed.
Leave Clear
You leave knowing what we found, what it means for your health and what your options are, with costs explained before any further care.
Fees And Claiming
Eligible health fund claims can go through HICAPS here. What you get back depends on your insurer, your policy, your limits and the benefits you have left.
You may be able to use Afterpay or National Dental Plan if you’re eligible. Approval, fees, repayments and provider terms apply. We explain treatment fees before you decide to go ahead.
Claim eligible benefits at your visit with HICAPS. The practice participates in HBF Members’ Plus and the nib First Choice Network for eligible practitioners and services. Check your cover and participating dentist before booking.
Payment Plans
Afterpay, humm, National Dental Plan and Zip may be available to eligible patients. Approval, fees, limits and provider terms apply.
Other Health Funds
Logos do not imply preferred-provider arrangements. Check your eligibility, cover and remaining benefits with your fund before booking.
Our dentists are general dentists. “Holistic” describes an approach, not a specialty: the Dental Board of Australia lists 13 dental specialties, and holistic dentistry isn’t one of them. At your first visit you may be asked about your sleep and breathing, what you eat and drink, and which materials you prefer, and you can skip any question.
We also say what dentistry can’t do. Replacing sound silver fillings hasn’t been shown to improve general health (ADA Policy 6.18, 2026), and a doctor, not a dentist, diagnoses sleep apnoea. If something sounds medical, we’ll say so and suggest your GP. As a new patient you can use the offers on this page, and you’re welcome to ask us anything before you book.
The precautions include a rubber dam, high-volume suction and water spray, which limit the vapour and particles released when a filling is drilled out. They reduce exposure, but we can’t promise zero. The Australian Dental Association says replacing sound amalgam hasn’t been shown to improve general health (ADA Policy 6.18, 2026), and advises limiting new amalgam for children, in pregnancy and breastfeeding, and for people with kidney disease. Tell us if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
Removing a filling isn’t part of the new patient offer, so it’s extra treatment, charged separately, and its cost is explained before you decide. If you’re unsure whether a filling needs to come out, our Dental Second Opinion Offer is a $49 consultation, or $0 gap where an eligible health fund benefit is claimed and accepted as full payment. It covers the consultation only.
A comprehensive examination, routine scale, clean and polish, fluoride treatment, oral cancer screening and a personalised treatment plan. Clinically required intraoral X-rays and photographs are included where appropriate.
$0 gap when eligible health fund benefits cover the included services, or a maximum of $199 out of pocket, including without health insurance.
The offer is for new patients of Absolute Dental. Mention it when you book, and our team can confirm what’s included. A $0 gap isn’t guaranteed, because it depends on your insurer, your policy, your annual limits and the benefits you have left.
The comprehensive examination is where your dentist asks about your health, medicines, sleep and eating habits, then looks at your teeth, gums and bite. You leave with a personalised treatment plan. If anything outside the offer is recommended, it is explained separately, with its cost, before you choose what to do next. A separate $295 New Patient Promo has its own terms.
Advanced imaging (including OPG and CBCT), additional treatment and periodontal care beyond a routine clean are excluded. Additional costs are discussed before proceeding.
For new patients only. Cannot be combined with other offers unless stated.
We’ll talk through any extra cost before anything goes ahead, and you can say no, take time to think or ask for a second opinion. If you’re not sure whether something falls inside the offer, ask our team when you book.
We can offer a blanket, a neck pillow and music you choose, and safety glasses are used during care. At the start of your visit your dentist asks about you before anything is looked at, so you can say what has gone wrong before and what would help. If you’d like each step explained before it starts, or a break part-way, say so.
If you’d like to talk about clinical options for managing anxiety, your dentist can discuss them with you and will assess whether they suit you. We can’t promise that every moment will feel comfortable, and we don’t promise how long a visit will take, but you stay in charge of the pace. If you’re nervous about a particular treatment, ask about it by phone first.
HICAPS is available for eligible health fund claims. Your rebate depends on your policy, waiting periods, limits and remaining benefits; a no-gap appointment is not guaranteed. Payment plans may be available subject to eligibility, approval, fees and provider terms. Ask which options apply to your appointment before booking.
The practice participates in HBF Members’ Plus and the nib First Choice Network for eligible practitioners and services, so check your cover and participating dentist before booking. For the new patient offer, you pay $0 gap if eligible benefits cover the fees for all included services. Otherwise your contribution for those services is capped at $199, and without eligible dental cover the maximum fee for included services is also $199.
Payment plans from Afterpay, humm, National Dental Plan and Zip are separate from your fund and from the offer. The provider decides whether you’re approved, and sets any fees and repayments. Medicare doesn’t cover most dental services (health.gov.au). If you’re choosing between paying at the start and a plan, ask for the total cost both ways.
Yes. Absolute Dental is at 1/34 Outram St, West Perth WA 6000, close to the city and easy to reach from across Perth. Appointments are available Monday–Friday, 8:00am–8:00pm, by appointment only. Call or request an appointment online, and tell our team if you have pain or an urgent concern so we can discuss availability.
We see patients of all ages. There’s on-street parking nearby, so check the signs for time limits and fees, and a CAT bus stop is on Outram Street. Call us if you’d like help finding the practice or planning your trip.
We’re closed on Saturday and Sunday. An online request isn’t a confirmed appointment until our team confirms a time with you, so a phone call is quicker if your visit is urgent. For a toothache, swelling or a broken tooth, phone (08) 9321 6398 rather than sending an online form. If you have trouble breathing or swallowing, call 000.
